Daniel is a licensed paramedic and Academic Detailer for the TEACH OUD initiative with over 12 years of experience responding to behavioral health and substance use crises. He has served as Lead Paramedic for the Williamson County Mobile Outreach Unit and as a Supervisor for the Round Rock Fire Department’s Crisis Response Unit, where he supported individuals in crisis, conducted overdose follow-ups, and connected families to care and community resources.
Daniel serves on federal committees focused on addressing substance use and the opioid epidemic and was named the 2023 Ulysses “Mac” McLester Champion of Recovery. He is passionate about teaching, community outreach, and helping individuals and families navigate pathways to recovery.
