Mayan Herman, LCSW-S, is a clinical assistant professor and social worker with experience in addiction treatment, child welfare, and bilingual behavioral health. She has worked as a therapist, a bilingual medical social worker, and in dual-diagnosis treatment centers supporting individuals and families affected by substance use. For this CARES session, Mayan will speak on “Children with Parents Who Have Substance Misuse Issues,” helping families better understand the impact addiction can have on children and offering insight that aligns with CARES’ mission to provide education, compassion, and practical support for families navigating addiction.
