- FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What is CARES?
CARES is an organization offering support groups specifically for caregivers—friends, family members, and spouses of individuals dealing with alcohol addiction or drug addiction. Similar to Nar-Anon or Al-Anon family groups, our meetings center on providing emotional support for families navigating a loved one’s struggles with drug abuse. Instead of being structured around 12-step programs, our meetings feature an expert speaker who can provide science-backed insight into addiction recovery, family therapy, and behavioral health.
How can I attend CARES meetings?
Our meetings are currently held in-person Monday nights at Cornerstone Church ATX in Austin, TX. Individuals seeking to participate in family support meetings virtually can do so through our livestream.
